[more compliments? he can't decide whether to be proud or embarrassed] Ah, yes. That was me. [ducks his head shyly] I am glad you enjoyed it, I am quite fond of that recipe.
(Not a problem at all, as long as you don't mind Uriel being incredibly awkward. :D)
[frowns] I must admit, I do not know. The only one of my brothers and sisters I have seen here has been Gabriel. Well, and Lucifer.
Better angels than demons, I would think.
(Yes, but he is pondering how he would feed a dragon in dragon-form, should the situation ever arise. And I wouldn't call what Gabriel does in the kitchen "cooking".)
I met a demon, once. It was not an entertaining experience.
And to be absolutely frank, even around the angels, I mostly try to find myself 1) a good pair of earmuffs; 2) a place to sleep that is decently far away from them so I don't have to hear the sounds of... serious anything.
(With a great deal of difficulty, no doubt. Actually, a few horses would do the trick, and he wouldn't have to cook them.
My university evidently does - did Roobi tell you about the incendiary cupcakes? We're both convinced Gabriel made them.)
I have seen and slain far more demons than I care to remember. Many were once my brothers. It never has been and never will be entertaining.
But never mind that. Earmuffs? Around angels? Why? I do admit to singing from time to time, perhaps more often than I should, but I would not think it that disturbing.
(But he *likes* cooking! He asks if he can at least season the horses first. Maybe figure out a way to marinate them...
She's telling me right now. I'm surprised your university is still standing if Gabriel was involved.)
[he's completely confused by that - the idea of sex rarely (see also: never) enters his mind] Making up for lost time? I am afraid I am not certain as to what you are hinting at.
(And now he's pondering how to marinate a horse and wondering if he could miracle an entire pond into wine.
Perhaps it would suffice to say that Michael in particular insists on expressing his opinions of everyone and everything very loudly and vocally. Even topics which might be better off not discussed in public.
Er. Yes.
(Poor Sylix. Hers must be the only 'verse in which Gabriel got sick of river cruises in Egypt. She gets the brunt of it. They really are very loud.
I have no idea how you'd marinate a horse, unfortunately, so he'll have to figure that one out himself. My cooking skills are better than Gabriel's - but that's only because I haven't exploded anything yet.)
[frowns] Michael was always rather heavy-handed in the things he did and never missed an opportunity to express his opinions. You have my sympathies. May I suggest using a sledgehammer? That might get through his thick skull.
(Uriel doesn't exactly have a good history with Michael and cannot quite figure out what Gabriel sees in him. I'm sure spending any considerable amount of time with angelofawesome would break his brain.
My cooking skills are decent, but nowhere near as impressive as Uriel's. If anyone can figure out how to marinate an entire horse (or small herd of horses), it would be him.)
(I think any amount of time with [info]angelofawesome would do at least some damage to people's brains. Or at least their heads. I'm surprised none of my characters who've met him have forehead injuries from headdesking; he tends to make them facepalm a LOT.)
He has quite the reach though, which makes any sort of direct attack rather difficult. Perhaps you should arrange for some sort of distraction first and then attempt education via blunt-force trauma.
(Uriel has already suffered at least one concussion thanks to Michael. Head-desking would be relatively gentle in comparison, though I think the resulting headache would be no less painful.)
"How awesome he is"? [facepalm] Has he been spending time in Lucifer's company lately?
(Uriel should have known better than to let himself be distracted while sparring with Michael. At least he had Gabriel and Raphael to take care of him afterward.)
(I am normally reluctant to share my writing - oh, the anxiety! - but for reference: the concussion incident (http://divine-tempest.livejournal.com/12586.html) was for one of cattygabriel's prompts. And I was so thrilled to find a facepalm picture - it has been used far more than I expected.)
Have you tried the little things the humans put in their ears? The ones with the music? Not that I would call some of that noise music, but... I do not know if it would solve the problem - I doubt one can actually solve Michael - but maybe it would help?
(Aw, thank you! *blush* And my version of Michael isn't really that bad, Uriel just thinks he is. Raphael, Gabriel and even pre-Fall Lucifer are quite fond of him, granite skull and all.
Anyone who has to deal with Michael or Lucifer - or, God forbid, the two of them together - needs a facepalm picture.)
[puzzled] Little things with music? I... don't think I've seen them around.
Maybe it's because of the world-hopping. Little things with music tend to pale into insignificance when you've got bigger things to deal with, like things that want to kill you.
(Awwww.
And, yes. We're agreed on that one. I can't really decide who suffers more facepalm damage from Michael. I mean, Sylix facepalms a lot, but then so do I. Obviously Gabriel trumps us both, though.)

(Normally. She's in human form, and Sylix will try anything, anyway. Except Gabriel's cooking. Don't worry about the slow replies!)

(That's up to him. She'll definitely appreciate good food.
Well, I highly doubt they were made in my university. The actual location where they were produced, however...)
