Another fun meme brought to you by rfreebern.

Being tricked by Belial and... Lucifer is not surprising. But Aziraphael, Haniel and Michael? Really. And besides, I have no idea what a floppy disc is.

Also, it is a little disappointing that there is no chocolate.

I don't see what you've got against floppy discs and paper, but I guess that's your choice.

Me, I'd simply shift into my dragon shape. Silverfox tells me she'll never dress up for an American holiday teaching children how to run extortion schemes. It is a bad fit in her country's culture.

Sometimes old stuff can be quite useful.

Silverfox says the ancient traditions are something else entirely, but here the attempt to introduce the American Halloween resulted in serious property damage and the quiet Christian holidays of All Saints and All Souls do not mix well with Trick or Treat either. Silverfox's culture already has a happy dressing up holiday in Fasching and doesn't need a second.

Property damage as in tricks that resulted in people needing to have their house repainted or buy a new fence or such a small thing as a new car ...

Fasching is the Austrian carnival, starting in November and ending the day before Ash Wednesday, a time for dress up parties, foolishness, dancing, eating and drinking and political satire.

The big one in Villach gets shown on TV every year, but you have to be fluent in German and up to Date with Austrian politics to really enjoy it. (That's the one all the politicians go to and whenever there's a joke about them you get to see their face ...)

The trick is, that the whole thing is based on the tradition of court jesters -> as fools they must be forgiven for saying things that would normally be considered insulting (The people in costume are also called Faschingsnarren - Faschings' fools.)
