Clearing up some misconceptions

... I can deal with the portrayal of myself as blonde and carrying what appears to be a duckling. I can even overlook the star tiara. However, there is a common misconception about me that I would like to clear up.

I am not "the only female archangel". There are quite a few angels who have chosen to assume female form, and I am not one of them. I'm genderless, and usually appear to be male; while I have the ability to assume a female form, I have done so about twice or thrice, for very brief occasions, during my millennia on Earth. However, for all intents and purposes, I am currently male.

It would sort of explain the appearance of angels in some fairy tales, but I'm not coming up with specific examples right now (and it's more… angels appearing as the devices rather than other creatures and it's been peeving me lately). They haven't seemed all that interchangeable to me otherwise, for the most part. Traditions, the functions- angels don't ride and steal kiddies. Further explanation of mix ups, if possible, please?

I suppose it could simply be that we're immortal. Humans and their preoccupation with eternal life... Perhaps they console themselves by reducing us to something they wouldn't want to be.

... although from what I hear, people still want to be sparkly vampires. Humans never fail to amaze me.

Of course they do. Because they think we're all pouty twenty-something British boys with big hair and poor personal hygiene. They've rendered us literally toothless, no more threatening than a Disney character.

I thought Disney characters were quite threatening when I managed to get the DVD player to work; I certainly wouldn't want to find myself in one of those places or meet one of those princesses. I'd go blind, and I prefer my cutlery and furniture to stay still.

Depicting your kind as without fangs; I like to think humans are intelligent, but sometimes I wonder...

I really must agree. I do not think much of cinema in general, but I did see a film called Fantasia some years ago. The thing with the brooms...it was terrifying. To think they show such things to children!

As for the fangs, well. I can't say I think much of that. But at least they've stopped with this flying nonsense.

I still drink human blood but I don't kill anymore. Not in seven months, three weeks and nine days. I have left this world for another. I am happy there. I am undertaking to learn such skills as I will need to become a holy warrior, and atone for the wrongs I have done.
