As nice as Lucifer was being and as much as he normally valued politeness, Gabriel knew he should leave, or at least stay for the briefest time possible and then leave. But Uriel's plea, his expression, meant that leaving instantly was now out of the question. Besides, despite Uriel's assurance to the contrary Gabriel still felt as if he had failed in protecting his brother and making sure he knew he was wanted. He could endure a little discomfort for Uriel's sake.
